night shift

the recent night shift during the orange alert of swine flu was the best i've ever had.
no fights with the bed management people, no late night visitors,
no admissions, no pregnant woman having contractions,
no irritating patients.
wow. i was impressed, really.

i even had one of the best juniors with me, nalini.

our ward's M.A.D card.
notice that 28 nominations for someone?
cheat.

ready to be passed reports. timecheck: 4am.
YES i actually closed my report damn early for this round of night
'cos YES, we were free. lol.

the not so neat nursing counter. was LAZY to do housekeeping so everything's
being thrown around.
oh and notice that wide open nurses' scissors (top right)?
old nurses' tale: it's supposed to "chase away" evil and also prevent a busy night.
well i didn't really believe it at first BUT it was proven right most of my nights.
myth or no myth, that thing stays.

the creepy ward 53a at night. that door at the end is connected to the burns unit.
rumour has it that strange things have happened.
then again, hospitals are famous for supernatural sightings.
