self-obsessive, unrighteous, demanding bitch.
prior to the meeting, i've heard people telling me that she scare
the shit out of all the staff simply by being evil.
i was warned to go up to her and greet her.
i was warned to greet her with the correct timing.
i was warned to not let whatever she says get onto me.
i was warned that she could be unreasonable with the most reasonable things.
i thought i was prepared for what i was about to encounter.
damn wrong, i was.
she came pounding (i'm not lacking of adjectives to use cos she was really doing that!)
on the glass window of the counter
and saying something which suhainah and i weren't able to make out
cos she bloody well thought her voice can go thru the thick glass.
bearing in mind that i was having a headache plus the shock i got from her
pounding the damn glass, i was squinting my eye and approached her,
politely asking her to repeat whatever she just said and greeted her at the same time.
rudely she answered back "what's wrong with you? can't you hear what i said the first time? i said switch off the fans outside! there're nobody here who needs it!"
ok fine ah. my bad ah i forgot the damn fans.
i apologised and suhainah switched it off.
then came the moment she pointed her finger at me and started the conversation:
HER: you! come here! are you waiting for me to greet YOU first?
don't you know how to respect your seniors? how long have you worked?
ME: i just passed out in april, sister.
HER: you new people think you're so great is it? no need to greet seniors?
(from this sentence, she was generalising. from here also, i got to know she has problems with new faces.)
ME: no sister. i'm sorry.
HER: *looking at my name tag* i was here making rounds just now.
how come you didn't follow my round? i'm sure you saw me, you were around. and, i don't like the way you were looking at me just now! do you see me as a ghost?
ME: i'm sorry, sister. i just got a shock when you...
HER: yah yah. alot of excuses. i want to see you on the next round.
and she walked away. thing was, she didn't even bother to listen
to what i had to say, dismissing it as an excuse to get away.
1) when she was doing her round, another colleague of mine was sitting at the pc.
i was nowhere near her. was in the nursing officer's room laying out some forms.
she must've thought that that colleague was me.
2) it is only right to be shocked when someone pounds on the glass window at 12 midnight.
3) i was having quite a pain in the ass headache since i didnt get much sleep before work. squinting's the way i cope with headaches.
i'm not asking of her to know all about me. but at least try to listen first.
considering the fact that she's my own race, i'm really disappointed.
i mean, i know you're UP THERE and you demand respect by forcing people to greet you? really?
i can, by all means, greet you but is the sincerity there, since i'm being forced to do it everytime i see you?
thing is, when you're UP THERE, you don't have to demand for respect if you're able to command respect.
it's two whole different things.
i'd be lying if i were to say i didn't feel intimidated.
i was already on the brim of crying.
i was shaken up by the whole incident. luckily suhainah was around when it happened.
wah piang!!!
