ifs

as we all know,
when one has free time and his mind goes a wandering,
the idle mind explores things that should not be thought about.
basically the idle mind plants seeds of doubts here and there
and given MORE free time, as seeds do, they take root and grow
and manifest in our heads
(for those 50% blessed or cursed with the Y chromosome, it's not in THAT head).

sadly, these doubts grow into baseless fears.
one will be presented with a lot of what ifs.
the bad things about these what ifs is that all it
does is to bring about a lot of unanswered questions.

don't you hate one annoying trait of the people living on
this little red dot- the ability to complain about anything under
the sun without giving any solution to how to solve the problem?
yeah, exactly the same scenario.

it gets annoying that your brain rattles off questions faster than you can answer
(if you can answer them at all).
yet it is these uncertainties and fears in the unknown and the uncontrollable
that only makes us human. Man has always wanted to play God.
(at this juncture, i swear that i'm not anti advances in technology)

though Man aspires to play God and thinks himself to be invincible,
it is these things that he cannot control that brings him back down to Earth.
it is these certain things that we cannot control that simply reminds us that we are mortal.
it is the raw feel of pain when you press an open wound or the simple fact that we bleed that reminds us that we are mortal too.
it is the helplessness that we are unable to do shit nuts to convince someone to love us or to appreciate us better even with modern technology.

and to think that when i was a kid, i wanted to grow up cos i thought being an adult was super cool and shits.
but try entering the working world and you'll know what i'm yakking about.
don't get me wrong though.
i love my job, my colleagues, my patients, but there's this indefinite doubt i have about how things are right now.
what more with the damn JCI audit around the corner, things have just became extra troublesome.

it'll then boil down to one thing- what's the point of this entry, you ask?
to which, i duly answer: does every entry has to have a point?
