all she has to do in order to be the perfect daughter is to be there. that is it. if being a daughther came with its own job description, then hers would be very simple. it would say "Be There".
mine, on the other hand would run on for pages. there would be pages of responsibilities and expectations i have to live up to, under the sub-headings - "career", "appearance", "love life", "diet", "family duties", "how i must behave in times of crisis", "how to manage time between family & friends", and the list goes on.
my daughter job description includes a prologue, footnotes, appendices, and a comprehensive index at the back for referencing. oh, and throw in a few pages of glossary for acronyms and the saidah language.
but that's ok. i've accepted the fact that being a daughter is pretty much a wonderful thing. no, not pretty much. it IS a WONDERFUL thing. i'm sure many would agree with me. =)
