--

even if given the opportunity, it would be hard for me to
actually come to terms with what happened that particular day.
i knew i had it coming for me but i never thought that it was that scary.

bear in mind i had to work on that night itself,
i came for lactation course on wednesday afternoon,
to which my colleague already saw me pale and lethargic.

let's spare the gory details and just say that i was bleeding
a bit abnormally on that day till i felt quite faint
and contemplated either going to SGH A&E and risk being
admitted to MY own ward and having a blood transfusion or
just head down to my GP to get a shot just for my unbearable cramps.

i chose the latter. haha.

i felt better eventually and the bleeding reduced miraculously,
thank God.
and i came back to work on thursday night and apologised to
Christina for leaving her to tend to my workload despite being
one of the new girls in the ward.

but i was really touched when i saw and felt how genuinely concerned
my colleagues were when i turned up that thursday evening.
i know it's not much of a big deal but i got hugs and
lots of comforting words from them,
even from the ward sister
and the night shift sister whom i find rather nasty
when i first started out in the ward.
but that's besides the point, you see.

just for the record, i'm much better now.
