warzone

the ward was pretty much a warzone during shift today.
nurses battling the rants of the patients and relatives, chasing after doctors for reviews.
the next thing i knew, it was time to go home.
very the anti climax i know. haha.

i was in the train on the way home from work just now when one guy (very good looking, by the way) in front of me stood up and insisted that i should take his seat. DUH. yes, i took that seat cos my legs were about to crumble from all the running about in the ward. very the tak tau malu i know.

apparently, he got off at sembawang too.
i realised it when he caught up with me and said, "hey, thanks for being one of those people who believe in making a difference in someone's life."

very the fairy tale i know.
VERY few people appreciate us nurses and when they really do, it really makes my day.

so to all my nursing counterparts, thanks for being one of those people who believe in making a difference in someone's life. slog hard, people. albeit the measly pay. heh.
