talk it out.

lazy saturday afternoon was spent lazing around on the living room couch with the family. had a good heart to heart talk over ice cream soda fruit cocktail and the subject on love and relationships got quite heated up. at this point i could see that sister was getting ready to get up and what seemed like a slow motioned scene captured from the movie home alone (you know the part they were rushing for the plane? yeah. that. just like that. lacking the luggage and mass crowd. and speed.).

the man of a few words a.k.a dad spoke and she immediately nailed her ass onto the couch. not only nailed, i guess she superglued it cos she was like a perfect frosting on a cupcake, not budging even once. watching her follow dad's instruction left me wondering. how the hell did he do it? is it the boyanese genes? can't be. is it his profession as a teacher? it must be la.

i'm still pondering over mum's qn- do you really think that the man you eventually marry will be the man you love the most? (to which the question which was raised in malay sounded more serious than it does when it's translated to english. don't ask me why. but it just sounded like a life and death kind of question.)

HAHA. talk about irony. i'm guessing that after 33 years of tolerating each other, it must be love right? i mean, really. thirty three years? how the heck do you live with someone for 33 years and not even ONCE raise your voices at one another?

you know how people always question what love is? i finally found the answer. it's just a feeling, and if you hit that feeling that just feels like love to you, then it is. it may not be as concrete as happiness or anger or sadness, but you know deep in your heart, it's right.

so the next question would be- can you be in a relationship without being in love?

sister thinks that you can be in love with someone else and be married to another person. love is not enough to make a marriage happen; chemistry and money make up most of it. not everything is about love she said. like how do you survive on a diet of hope. just HOW? hope is never enough. there's willpower and support.

fairy tales will remain as fairy tales- unreal and deceiving.
nevertheless, i still love cinderella. heh. pointless i know.

wow. that must be the longest entry i've typed. and yannie! like finally you revealed your secret blog!
